Environment artists are responsible for designing the settings in the animation.  To begin, artists Allyanna Laurel, Claire Sebastian, Erin Dixon, Gabby Foreman, Hyun-ji Ra, and Zach Young drew "explorations", through which they experimented with different styles and imagery that could eventually become the film's locations.
