Layouts

Fall Quarter • Week 6

The Wander Crew began work on rough layouts. Each team member was assigned three layouts with the goal of completing one-fifth of the environments this week.

We are making sure the perspective is accurate to both the storybords and the director's larger vision. At this early stage of layout work, perspective is the most important element to focus on. Later, we will shift focus to scene details.

Layout: a line drawing of the background for a scene, based on the storyboards.

LeAnn is almost finished with the color script, which will give the crew a better idea of the color palette and mood for each separate scene.

For next week, alongisde our continued work on the layouts, we'll also be working on animation tests to focus on how characters and props will move.
